Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi to release on 14 Jan 2026
Parasakthi starring actor Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Sudha Kongara, has officially locked its release date for January 14, 2026.
This announcement, made by the production company Dawn Pictures, has set the stage for a grand Pongal festival treat for cinema lovers.
The film, which is Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th project, has generated significant buzz since its inception.
Parasakthi is a political period drama based on true events, revolving around the Anti-Hindi agitations that took place in Tamil Nadu in the 1960s.
The film’s teaser, which showcased a gritty and determined Sivakarthikeyan as a student leader in Madras, has already impressed audiences and raised expectations.
Parasakthi features a strong ensemble cast, including Atharvaa and Sreeleela, the latter making her Tamil debut. The music for the film is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, who is a frequent collaborator with director Sudha Kongara.
Cinematography is handled by Ravi K. Chandran, and the film is produced by Aakash Baskaran under the banner Dawn Pictures.
