Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi new release date out
The makers of Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, have advanced the film’s release date, setting the stage for a high-voltage festive box-office clash with Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.
Originally scheduled to hit theatres on January 14, 2026, Parasakthi will now release worldwide on January 10, 2026, right in the heart of the Pongal window.
Jana Nayagan, meanwhile, is slated for a January 9, 2026 release, making the festive weekend a battleground for two major Tamil releases.
Announcing the date change, the makers shared a short teaser featuring Ravi Mohan, Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela.
The caption read, “Coming to you, earlier than expected. Parasakthi, in theatres worldwide from January 10, 2026. Get ready for a ride through (sic).”
In a separate announcement, the film’s production house, Dawn Pictures, confirmed the decision in an official statement. “We wish to inform the media and audiences that the release of Parasakthi has been preponed to January 10, 2026 (sic),” the note read.
The statement further explained that the move was made after extensive discussions with exhibitors and distributors across global markets. According to the producers, the strong confidence shown in the film’s theatrical potential during the Pongal period prompted the decision to advance the release date.
