Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi gets OTT release date
Parasakthi, the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer film, is gearing up for its digital debut soon.
The film which hit theatres on January 9, after last-minute CBFC struggle, ran in theatres and opened to mixed reviews.
Now, after a month of its theatrical run, Parasakthi will begin streaming soon.
ZEE5 is its digital home and the film will debut on February 7.
The period political drama is set in the 1950s Madras Presidency, as Tamil Nadu is opposing the imposition of Hindi by the Union government.
The film draws parallels from real-life instances and tells the story of anti-Hindi agitations by students who took to streets.
If you have missed watching the film in theatres, Parasakthi will begin streaming from next week onwards. It is expected to release in multiple languages.
The film is written and directed by filmmaker Sudha Kongara. It features Ravi Mohan as the antagonist, Sreeleela as female lead in her Tamil debut, and Atharvaa as supporting character, with Sivakarthikeyan headlining the film.
Basil Joseph, Dhananjay and Rana Daggubati make cameo appearances in Parasakthi.
