Sivakarthikeyan’s next production Thaai Kizhavi gets a new release date
The much-anticipated rural entertainer Thaai Kizhavi, starring veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, has officially shifted its theatrical arrival.
Originally slated for a February 20 release, the film will now hit the big screens on February 27, 2026.
The announcement came directly from producer Sivakarthikeyan through his banner, SK Productions.
In a creative move that has gone viral, the team released a promotional video featuring Sivakarthikeyan alongside a transformed Radikaa, playfully confirming the one-week postponement to ensure a grander release window.
The film has been the talk of the town primarily due to Radikaa Sarathkumar’s unrecognizable makeover.
Playing the role of Pavunuthayi, a 75-year-old fierce and no-nonsense moneylender, Radikaa reportedly spent over four hours each day in the makeup chair for prosthetic work.
Industry veterans, including Kamal Haasan, have reportedly praised the realism and grit she brings to this “village queen” character, who is as quick with her wit as she is with her stick when it comes to collecting dues.
