Sivakarthikeyan vows to do only mass commercial films

Sivakarthikeyan has signalled a clear shift in his approach to choosing films, saying he wants to concentrate on projects that deliver large-scale entertainment and meet the expectations of his audience.

During a recent interaction with fans, the actor said his focus going forward would be on mass commercial cinema. He also revealed that his upcoming collaboration with director Ramkumar Balakrishnan is developing as a strong commercial entertainer and is already underway.

The project, tentatively referred to as SK27, marks Sivakarthikeyan’s first film with Ramkumar, who made his directorial debut with Parking.

The actor is also working on Seyon, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. The rural action film is being produced by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under Raaj Kamal Films International.

Seyon features Bhagyashri Borse, Raj B Shetty, Seeman, Bala Saravanan, Aruldoss and Singampuli alongside Sivakarthikeyan.

Meanwhile, SK27 is backed by Sathya Jyothi Films and features Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. Music for the film is being composed by Sai Abhyankkar.

Sivakarthikeyan also used his interaction with fans to offer a message about dealing with criticism. He encouraged them not to get distracted by unnecessary negativity and urged them to remain positive while continuing on their own path.
