Sivakarthikeyan addresses massive fans meet, describes himself at “people-made star”

Actor Sivakarthikeyan has described himself as a “people-made star”, saying his position in the film industry is the result of the affection and support he has received from audiences.

Speaking at a fan gathering in Porur on Sunday, the actor addressed both his popularity and the criticism he has faced over the years. He said some people would continue to criticise him regardless of what he did, but stressed that the gathering was driven by the mutual affection between him and his fans.

Sivakarthikeyan also shared a major update on his upcoming film Seyon. According to the actor, around 60% of the project has been completed.

He described the film as a blend of action and entertainment and said the team was working to deliver a movie that would meet audience expectations.

The actor also indicated that Seyon is likely to arrive during the Pongal 2027 season rather than the October 2026 window that had previously been associated with the film.

Seyon is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who made his directorial debut with Thaai Kizhavi. The cast includes Raj B Shetty, Bhagyashri Borse, Seeman, Bala Saravanan, Arul Doss and Singampuli alongside Sivakarthikeyan.

With the film now more than halfway through production, fans will have to wait a little longer for the action entertainer to reach theatres.
