Shruti Haasan to play Sathyaraj’s daughter in Coolie
Actor and musician Shruti Haasan has officially confirmed her role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s highly anticipated film Coolie, starring Rajinikanth.
Putting an end to earlier speculations, Shruti Haasan revealed that she will portray Preethi, the daughter of Sathyaraj’s character, Rajasekar, in the action-packed flick.
The announcement clarifies previous rumors that suggested she might be playing Rajinikanth’s daughter.
Shruti Haasan shared that the offer from Lokesh Kanagaraj came as a pleasant surprise.
She was reportedly meeting the acclaimed director to discuss a music video when he spontaneously offered her the part in Coolie.
In addition to Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj, the film also features prominent actors like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, and Soubin Shahir in pivotal roles.
Coolie is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music and is all set for release on 14 August.
