Shooting for Jigarthanda Double X wrapped
It’s a wrap for the shoot of Jigarthanda Double X. The film’s director Karthik Subbaraj made the announcement with a short video.
In the video, the team is seen celebrating the wrap-up along with a cake-cutting ceremony. Taking to his social media handle, Karthik Subbaraj wrote, “It’s a WRAP for #JigarthandaDoubleX – see you in theatres this Diwali! #J2XShootWraps #DoubleXDiwali (sic).”
Along with the video, Karthik Subbaraj confirmed the film’s release for Deepavali. It was not long ago that the makers announced that the film will hit screens for the festival.
They had then dropped a short video of Raghava Lawrence perched on a chair in front of a theatre and setting things on fire to make the announcement.
Jigarthanda Double X is a sequel to Jigarthanda (2014), which starred Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Lakshmi Menon, Karunakaran and Guru Somasundaram. The plot revolves around a short filmmaker who aspires to make a feature film on Assault Sethu, a gangster in Madurai.
