Shock and strategy in Bigg Boss Tamil 9’s first week elimination
The first week of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 concluded with intense drama as seven contestants faced the season’s inaugural elimination, setting a tense precedent for the weeks to come.
The first nomination process saw a clear divide, with housemates overwhelmingly targeting social media influencer Aghori Kalaiyarasan and Diwakar (Watermelon Star).
Kalaiyarasan received the highest number of votes, largely due to co-contestants feeling he was uncompetitive and failing to socialize. Diwakar followed closely, facing criticism that he was more focused on building his brand than playing the game.
The atmosphere intensified after a heated exchange where Diwakar made a controversial remark to fellow contestant Ramya Joo, prompting widespread disapproval within the house and putting him squarely in the elimination spotlight.
The other nominated contestants joining the danger zone were Viyana, Aadhirai Soundarrajan, Apsara CJ, Praveen Raj, and filmmaker Praveen Gandhi.
The week wasn’t all conflict, however, with emotional moments during the ‘BB Storytelling’ task where housemates like Nandhini and Kemy shared vulnerable life stories.
The fate of the seven nominated contestants now rests with the audience, with host Vijay Sethupathi set to announce the first evicted housemate of the season in the weekend episode.
