Shalini to produce Ajith’s ‘AK64’?
Fresh speculation surrounding Ajith Kumar’s next film with director Adhik Ravichandran suggests that actor Shalini could step into film production by backing the project, tentatively titled AK64. However, neither the family nor the filmmakers have confirmed the reports.
Industry buzz also suggests that Shalini may play an active role in overseeing the film’s production as pre-production work continues. Earlier reports had linked Sun Pictures with the project, though an official announcement regarding the production banner is still awaited.
Director Adhik Ravichandran has previously indicated that the upcoming film will differ significantly from Good Bad Ugly. While describing his previous collaboration with Ajith as a fan-centric entertainer, he said AK64 is being designed as an action film with a strong screenplay that also appeals to family audiences.
Ajith was last seen in Good Bad Ugly. Separately, his motorsport career is set to be documented in the feature-length film Gladiators, which will chronicle his racing journey and achievements in international competitions.
