Security Measures for Narendra Modi’s Kanyakumari Visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a 5 day visit across South India, covering the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
The campaign will kick off from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu today, March 15.
The Prime Minister will be embarking on mega roadshows as part of the campaign.
Modi will address a public meeting arranged by the State BJP Unit at the grounds of the Vivekananda College..
He is scheduled to arrive by helicopter from Trivandrum. Security has been tightened around the district and also on the roads leading to the venue of the meeting.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister will leave for Trivandrum in the afternoon.
Senior leaders of the State BJP Unit Dr. L. Murugan, Pon Radhakrishnan and K. Annamalai are making arrangements for the massive public meeting of the Party.
It is said that Mr. Modi will visit Salem and Coimbatore on the 18th and 19th of this month to address public meetings to garner votes for the Party.
The Prime Minister has visited the State recently to launch several projects and also addressed public meetings at Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Madurai and Tuticorin.
