Scandinavian Airlines launches highly anticipated nonstop service between Mumbai and Copenhagen

Starting October 1, 2026, SAS reconnects Scandinavia and India with a direct route between Mumbai and Copenhagen.

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announced the launch of its much- awaited return to India with direct, non-stop  flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen.

Operating five times weekly from October 1, 2026. The route restores SAS’ presence in India after 17 years,  expanding its intercontinental network and opening access to one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.

The launch of this route comes at a strategically significant moment, capturing both India’s immense growth  potential and Mumbai’s position as a global financial hub. This connection unlocks dynamic opportunities for  travel, business, and cultural exchange between Northern Europe and India’s vibrant financial capital.

The new service also strengthens Copenhagen Airport’s role as a major international gateway, offering  smooth connections to key SAS long-haul and European destinations, including New York, Boston, and Toronto.

As one of the world’s most punctual airlines, regularly recognized for global operational excellence, SAS will offer travellers between Scandinavia and India superior reliability, world- class service, and seamless connectivity across its global network.

• Flight numbers: SK969 / SK970
• Frequency: 5 times per week
• Aircraft: Airbus A330 (262/266 seats)
• First departure: October 1, 2026 (from BOM October 3, 2026)
• Departure BOM: 06:30 – Arrival CPH: 12:15 (operates Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
• Departure CPH: 16:10 – Arrival BOM: 04:30 (+1) (operates Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
