Sardar 2: Karthi and SJ Suryah seek blessings at Tiruchendur Murugan temple
Actors Karthi and SJ Suryah, along with actress Ashika, visited the Tiruchendur Lord Subramanya Swamy Temple to offer prayers ahead of the release of their upcoming film Sardar 2.
The sequel is scheduled to hit theatres on September 10. During their temple visit, the actors worshipped at several shrines within the temple complex, including those dedicated to Lord Subramanya Swamy, Valli, Deivayanai, Lord Shanmugar, Lord Perumal, Lord Sathru Samhara Moorthy and Lord Dakshinamurthy.
Their appearance drew considerable attention from devotees and fans. After completing their prayers, Karthi and SJ Suryah greeted people gathered outside the temple before leaving the premises.
Tiruchendur is one of the six sacred Murugan temples collectively known as the Arupadai Veedu and is frequently visited by celebrities and public figures seeking blessings.
The makers of Sardar 2 recently released the trailer at an event in Chennai. The movie continues the story established in Sardar, the spy-action thriller in which Karthi played dual roles portraying a father and son.
The original film featured Rajisha Vijayan, Raashii Khanna, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Rithvik, Munishkanth, Avinash, Yugi Sethu and Balaji Sakthivel.
Sardar 2 is produced by S Lakshman Kumar and Ishan Saksena. The first instalment was directed by P S Mithran and backed by Prince Pictures. It went on to perform successfully at the box office.
