Samantha responds to body shaming comment with a thoughtful message

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is currently promoting her upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny, recently took to Instagram to engage with her fans in a Q&A session. During this interaction, a follower commented asking her to “bulk up” and gain some weight, prompting Samantha to share an insightful and candid response.

In a video addressing the comment, Samantha explained that her weight is directly related to her ongoing health condition, myositis, which she is managing through a strict anti-inflammatory diet. “I’ve seen several comments about my weight,” she said. “For those wondering, I follow this diet to manage my health, maintain a stable condition, and stay within a certain weight range.”

The actress went on to emphasize that body shaming is unnecessary and that people should not judge others based on their appearance. “It’s important to remember that we should not be commenting on others’ bodies. Let everyone live the way they choose,” she said.

Samantha concluded her message by advocating for kindness and positivity in 2024, urging people to support and uplift each other. “Let’s embrace positivity and kindness,” she added.

On the professional front, Samantha is preparing for the release of Citadel: Honey Bunny, the Indian adaptation of the international Citadel series. The action-packed thriller, directed by Raj & DK and created by Sita R Menon, will premiere on Prime Video on November 7. Set in the world of global espionage, the series follows the story of a spy agency, Citadel, as it confronts a dangerous enemy, Manticore. The show is executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO.
