Samantha confirms pregnancy, plans temporary break from films

Speaking during a success event for her latest film Maa Inti Bangaaram (Engal Thangam in Tamil), Samantha shared the news with the media and revealed that she intends to step away from acting for a short period after completing her ongoing projects.
She said that her current condition would require her to take maternity leave and that she plans to return to films after the break to continue entertaining her fans.
Rumours about her pregnancy had been circulating on social media in recent days after videos from the film’s celebrations prompted discussions among fans. Observers pointed to what they believed was a visible baby bump, further fuelling speculation.
Samantha married Raj on December 1, 2025, in a private ceremony held at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. The actor later shared photographs from the wedding on her social media accounts.
