Rotary Medical Camp Ambatur synopsis and images
The Rotary Club of Madras Connemara in Collaboration with Omayal Achi Community Health Centre, Arakampakkam supported by Indian Dental Association and MN Eye Hospital organised a Mega Multispecialty health Camp on 16.09.23, Saturday to screen and provide health services for General health, Eye Health, Dental Health, Mental Health, Child Health and Women's Health. The Total beneficiaries for the camp was 186+.
The distribution of beneficiaries are outlined below:
1. Pediatrics – 14 (major complaints poor hygiene and nutritional deficiencies)
2. Women's Health: cervical and breast cancer screening -37
3. Mental wellness -8 ( 2 referred to SCARF)
4. Dental screening – 58,
5. Eye screening -83 ( cataract adviced 16 however willing for cataract surgery – 13, glass advised -14, ordered – 10, pterygium advice -4, RTH -21 and normal – 9) 6. General Health: 186+.
The Chief guest for the day was Rtn. Dr.Sai Krishna, Director Community Service Health ,Rotary District 3232 and Rtn.Dr.Vetrivel, District Officer along with Rtn.Akshay Manoharan, President of Rotary Club of madras Connemara Rtn Kanchana khan Chairman Community health Rotary club of madras connemara and members of Rotary Club of Madras Connemara graced the occasion and addressed the Beneficiaries on importance of a healthy lifestyle. The team of Omayal Achi Community Health Centre led by Ms.Ambika and Prof.Jayasree facilitated the Health camp along with the able support of faculty and B.Sc(N) 2nd year students of Omayal Achi College of Nursing.
