Rotary Clubs in Job Fair 2023
We would like to provide you with a report on the recent Job Fair conducted by Rotary District Vocational Service and Equitas Develpment Initiatives Trust that took place on 20th August 2023 at Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women Anna Nagar. It was indeed a successful event, and we appreciate the participation and support from all the attendees.
Job fair attended 503( male 174, female 329 ) selected 397(male 118,female 211) total companies participated 52.
Here are some key highlights and glimpses from the Job Fair:
Inauguration: The Event was inauguated by Our Chief Guest, District Governor Elect (2024-25) Rtn.N.S.Saravanan, under the Guidance of District Chairman Vocational Services Rtn.Gopalakrishnan and support from Adnl.Chairman Job Fair (2023-24) Rtn.Asif Baig and the Rotary Clubs namely Madras Mylapore Uptown(Lead Club) President Vikashbabu along with Madras Connemara President Rtn Akshay Manohar, Madras Mount president Rtn Udhyakumar ,

1.Attendance: The Job Fair saw a significant turnout, with over 504 job seekers in attendance amongst these already 397 candidates got selected by the various industries and organizations, making it a diverse and dynamic event.
2.Participating Companies: We had a wide range of companies and organizations participating as exhibitors at the Job Fair. A total of 52 companies were present, offering a variety of employment opportunities and showcasing their businesses.
- Job Openings: Throughout the event, there were numerous job openings and positions available across multiple industries. Attendees had the chance to interact directly with hiring managers and submit their resumes. Several employers even conducted on-the-spot interviews and expressed interest in potential candidates.
- Networking Opportunities: The Job Fair provided an excellent platform for networking. Job seekers had the chance to connect with professionals from different backgrounds, exchange contact information, and expand their professional networks. Many attendees found this aspect of the event extremely valuable for future career prospects.
Overall, the feedback we received from both employers and job seekers was highly positive. Participants expressed appreciation for the organization and the opportunities provided by the Rotary at the Job Fair. It was encouraging to witness the genuine interest and engagement demonstrated by all stakeholders during the event.
Moving forward, we will continue to evaluate the success of the Job Fair and collect feedback from participants to further improve our future events.
