Reliance Jio Strengthens Presence in Tamil Nadu

Reliance Jio has further solidified its position as the No. 1 digital service provider in Tamil Nadu, adding over  3 Lac new subscribers (Mobility + Home) in July 2025. According to the latest telecom subscription data  from TRAI, Jio’s growth in the state is driven by its robust 4G and 5G infrastructure. 
Key Highlights:
Mobile Subscribers: Jio added over 2.51 Lac new VLR mobile subscribers, taking its total VLR mobile user  base to over 2.41 crore in Tamil Nadu. 5G FWA: Jio gained more than 31.8K new Jio AirFiber users, crossing  4.22 lakh
subscriber marks.
Market Share: Jio commands over 33.19% of the VLR mobile subscriber market share and 57% of the 5G  FWA(AirFiber) market share in Tamil Nadu.

Jio’s Dominance:
Jio has crossed 500 million customers in the entire country, as informed by Reliance Industries Chairman &  Managing Director Mukesh Ambani during the company’s 48th annual general meeting (AGM).
