Ready for CBI probe against KCR on Kaleshwaram scam in 48 hours: Kishan
Union minister and Telangana State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy said on Monday that the Central government will deploy the CBI within 48 hours to probe the financial irregularities and scam in the Kaleshwaram project if the Congress-led state government writes to the centre.
“Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who sought a CBI enquiry as the TPCC president before elections, is now opting for a judicial enquiry instead,” he said, wondering when the CBI probe offer was available, why was the Congress hesitating.
Addressing the media in the city, he said, “Reviews are being done by ministers, and presentations are being done but why is the CBI enquiry not being sought? As a Union minister, the CBI will act on the complaint within 48 hours after receiving the letter. Does the Congress not intend to punish the guilty?”
He claimed that the Congress party seems to have struck a deal with the BRS to remain in power.
