Ravi Mohan reveals Suriya’s advice that stayed with him
Actor Ravi Mohan has opened up about an early-career incident involving Suriya and recalled the valuable advice he received from the actor.
Ravi Mohan said he had known Suriya for many years, even though the two have not acted together. He has, however, shared the screen with Suriya’s brother Karthi in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan films.
Recalling the incident, Ravi Mohan said that both he and Suriya were learning stunt techniques at the time. Ravi told Suriya that he was practising a backflip and asked whether he wanted to watch.
The attempt did not go as planned, but professionals at the location intervened and prevented him from getting seriously hurt.
Ravi said Suriya helped him regain his balance and later encouraged him not to become discouraged by the mistake. According to Ravi, Suriya told him to attempt the stunt again and get it right, adding that learning from mistakes was part of making life better.
Ravi said those words remained with him and influenced the way he approached his career. He added that maintaining a positive mindset and regularly checking one’s thoughts are particularly important in the film industry.
Meanwhile, Ravi Mohan also reacted to the announcement that his brother, filmmaker Mohan Raja, will be directing a new project with Karthi. Ravi expressed his excitement about the collaboration and said his brother had spoken enthusiastically about the story.
