Analysis:

Movie directed by Hari usually have a standard template, but his core strength is narration.

But there seems to be a lag in the narration aspect in Rathnam. The usual pace with which Hari’s movies progress is missing.

However, the movie still manages to keep the audience engaged.

Vishal as usual delivers an impactful performance with complete conviction.

He is stunning in all the action sequences. Vishal’s body language is pretty good, and he carries the film on his shoulders.

Priya Bhavani Shankar as the damsel in distress has done her part well.

Rest of the cast including Yogi Babu have delivered what was expected from them.

Devi Sri Prasad did complete justice to the film both with songs and background score. Cinematography by Sukumar is neat.
