Analysis:
As a concept director D L Vinod’s Ranga is good on paper.
However, the execution could have been better.
The writing seems to be patchy and the screenplay too could have been better.
The portions of fictional king Ranga Arasudaiyan is interesting.
Sibi Sathyaraj does a decent job, but a movie which banks on the romance of the lead pair, he could have done better.
Nikhila Vemal does perform well, but does not have much scope.
Rest of the cast including Sathish and Manobala are okay.
Arvi camerawork is one of the major highlights of the movie has captured the locations in a scenic manner and also with a sense of eeriness.
Ramjeevan’s music is functional.
Rating: 3.2/5
