Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 likely postponed to Septembe
Actor Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is now expected to move away from its earlier August 14 release date and target September 11, during the Ganesh Chaturthi festive weekend.
The holiday period could give the film a strong opening across major markets including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, where Rajinikanth continues to command a massive fan base.
Reports suggest the makers are planning the sequel’s release carefully to ensure maximum box office advantage rather than rushing it into theatres.
Directed by Nelson, the sequel has already created huge anticipation following the blockbuster success of Jailer. The film remains one of the most awaited pan-Indian projects currently in production.
