Public holiday declared on 19 April for Parliamentary elections
The Chief Secretary of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Shivdas Meena, has announced a public holiday on the 19th of April to facilitate citizens in casting their votes on Parliamentary Election Day.
Parliamentary Elections are scheduled to be conducted in a single phase in Tamil Nadu on the 19th of April.
The list of candidates contesting the parliamentary elections has been finalized, and election campaigns are in progress at full swing!
The votes are to be counted on the 4th of June, and the results are to be announced on the same day.
In Tamil Nadu, the Election Officials have commenced the task of receiving votes by post from today (Friday, 4th April). In some districts, this task of collecting postal votes is scheduled to commence tomorrow (Saturday, 6th April).
