Production house demands Rs 20 crore from Dhanush
Leading production house, Thenandal Films, has sent a legal notice against Dhanush and demanded Rs 20 crore as compensation for delaying work on the film he signed in 2016.
Hence, the makers have demanded an amount to recover their losses due to alleged delay in its production.
If the demands don’t get fulfilled on time, the production house will take further legal action against the actor.
In the notice, the lawyer of the production house, Thenandal Films, mentioned that Dhanush was signed for the film Naan Rudran in 2016.
However, the actor told the production house that he would act in the film and directed another film instead. Despite accepting that, Dhanush didn’t provide the complete screenplay of the film.
According to the OneIndia Tamil report, the complaint states that the production house has spent up to Rs 20 crore in advance.
They also paid other expenses for stars like Nagarjuna Akkineni and SJ Suryah, who also acted in the film with Dhanush.
