Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki 2 gets a release date
Prabu Solomon’s sequel to his critically-acclaimed hit Kumki, is all set to release on OTT, over a month after it hit theatres.
Kumki 2 introduces Mathi and Shrrita Rao in leading roles and revolves around Mathi’s love for his jumbo.
When adversity strikes, he is ready to go to any extent to save him. The sequel comes 13 years after the first film was released.
The latest film also features Arjun Das as the antagonist, while Andrews, Akash, Harish Peradi, and Srinath play supporting roles.
Upon release on November 14, the film received mixed to negative reviews from audiences and critics. The film will hit OTT platform Prime Video on January 3, 2026.
On the technical side, Nivas K Prasanna scored music for Kumki 2, with lyrics by Prabu and Mohan Rajan, cinematography by M Sukumar, edits by Buvan, art direction by Vijay Thennarasu.
