Pooja Hegde to pair with Dhanush for a new project
Speculation is rife in Kollywood that actress Pooja Hegde is all set to share the screen with Dhanush for the first time in an upcoming project directed by Vignesh Raja.
While an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited, reports suggest that the pairing is highly probable and the film could go on floors as early as this month.
Vignesh Raja, who made a strong directorial debut with the critically acclaimed crime thriller Por Thozhil, is reportedly helming this new venture, which is touted to be a period drama. Some reports also suggest it could be another crime thriller, similar to his previous hit.
Pooja Hegde, who has been actively working in Tamil cinema recently, was last seen opposite Suriya in Retro and is also the female lead in Vijay’s much-anticipated Jana Nayagan, expected to be Vijay’s farewell film, set for a Pongal 2026 release.
Additionally, she is slated to make a special appearance in a song in Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
This potential collaboration between Dhanush and Pooja Hegde has generated considerable buzz, given that it would mark their first on-screen pairing.
