Police Complaint: Director makes shocking allegation against Varalaxmi

Director Sanjeev Megoti has alleged that actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar failed to fulfil certain promotional commitments related to his upcoming film Police Complaint. Speaking at the film’s pre-release event in Hyderabad on Wednesday, the filmmaker claimed that the actress did not participate in publicity activities despite having agreed to do so as part of her contract.

Addressing the gathering at the Film Chamber, Megoti expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of cooperation from the actress. He said the production team had repeatedly requested a small amount of time from her for promotional events but did not receive a positive response. According to him, the situation had adversely affected the film’s promotional campaign and resulted in setbacks for the project.

The director also alleged that there were occasions during production when Varalaxmi was unavailable for dubbing-related work, creating additional challenges for the team.

When contacted for her response, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar rejected the suggestion that she had failed to support the film. She stated that she attended all events and activities for which she had been invited. Regarding the comments made at the pre-release function, she said she was not fully aware of the statements and therefore preferred not to respond in detail at this stage.

The actress further indicated that she had her own reasons for her decisions and did not wish to engage in a public dispute with the film’s makers.
