PMK Releases Full List of 18 Candidates, Sowmiya Anbumani to contest from Dharmapuri
Anbumani Ramadoss on Monday announced candidates for 15 more constituencies on behalf of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), completing the party’s list for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
With this announcement, PMK has now finalised all 18 candidates it will field as part of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led National Democratic Alliance. The party had earlier released its first list of three candidates a few days ago.
The newly announced candidates include Thilagabama (Perambur), Sowmiya Anbumani (Dharmapuri), Tamilarasi (Vriddhachalam), Karthika (Salem West), V. Selvam (Padi), Bhaskaran (Polur), Balu (Tiruporur), Vaithi (Jayankondam), Sadasivam (Salem North), Sivakumar (Vikravandi), Saravanan (Sholingur), Sithamalli (Mayiladuthurai), Mahesh Kumar (Uthiramerur), Sezhiyan (Rishivandiyam) and Anbu Chozhan (Kattumannarkoil – reserved).
The announcement coincides with the commencement of the nomination process across the state on Monday. Candidates are set to file their papers in the coming days as preparations intensify ahead of polling scheduled for April 23.
