PM urges Centre and states to work together against examination paper leaks
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called for coordinated efforts between the Centre and state governments to prevent examination paper leaks, saying strict action has been taken against those responsible for the NEET paper leak.
Addressing MPs at the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, the Prime Minister said those involved had been identified and action initiated. He also stressed that protecting students’ futures should remain a national priority beyond political differences.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju later briefed reporters, saying the Prime Minister highlighted the swift investigation, arrests and legal action taken after the alleged leak came to light.
According to Rijiju, Modi also said the government ensured that students’ academic schedules were protected by conducting the re-examination promptly and announcing the results without unnecessary delay.
The Prime Minister is also said to have called for the strictest legal punishment for those found guilty and urged both the Centre and states to strengthen measures to prevent similar incidents in future.
