PM Modi visits Adampur air base, says India ‘eternally grateful’ to armed forces
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur air base in Punjab and interacted with the soldiers there.
The Indian Air Force personnel also briefed the prime minister on the prevailing situation.
Taking to his X handle, PM Modi wrote, “Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness.”
He added, “India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.”
PM Modi’s visit to the Adampur air base gains significance in the backdrop of the location having been one of the targets attacked by Pakistani troops.
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, during one of the press briefings on Operation Sindoor, had said that air intrusions and several harassment attacks were attempted from Srinagar to Naliya in Gujarat at more than 26 locations.
