Pawan Kalyan asks Stalin to fulfill Karunanidhi’s dream of One Nation, One Election
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan on Monday asked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to support the Central government’s ‘One Nation One Election’ (ONOE) plan.
He said this idea would bring political stability and help the country grow faster.
Pawan Kalyan spoke to reporters after attending a seminar on ONOE in Tiruvanmiyur, Chennai. He said, “This is a sincere request to Chief Minister Stalin. Please think again and support this idea. In the past five years, 800 days were lost due to frequent elections. It has affected development and good governance.”
He added that elections held at different times cost a lot of money and disturb administration. A single election for the whole country would save time and money and improve the system.
Pawan Kalyan also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said India has grown well under his leadership. He said ONOE would help bring political and election-related stability to the country.
