Oh My Ghost movie review

Story:

Sathish and Ramesh Thilak are roommates. Sathish is trying to become a adult filmmaker.

Sathish’s girl friend Dharsha becomes possesed by a ghost.

She takes the duo to a place called Anacondapuram where they release the spirit of Sunny Leone, an ancient warrior queen. It is said that only Sathish can control the ghost.

What happens next, what is Sunny Leone’s history and how is she connected with Sathish forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:
Director Yuvan has tried a few new scenes in the usual horror movies template.

The humour has worked only in parts and the storyline could have been better as well. Sathish and Ramesh Thilak occupy most of the first half.

Their one-liners and counters evoke laughter here and there. Dharsha Gupta has got a full-fledged role and has utilised it effectively.

Sunny Leone is introduced only in the second half and takes the movie forward. Though she has good screen presence, the dubbing could have been better.

The movie is made in a grand scale and the technical aspects are good as well. Anshul Chobey’s visuals are rich and Chandan Saxena’s music is impressive.
