Netflix bags Leo OTT rights for a huge price
It would be an understatement to say that Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie Leo is one of the most-awaited movies of 2023.
The craze and anticipation around the movie have remained at an all-time high since it was announced last year.
Leo is set to shatter several collection records in the history of Tamil cinema when it will be released in cinemas in October this year.
The trade and all the stakeholders in the show business are confident of that.
So much so that the stakeholders are willing to pay a premium price to get a piece of the movie.
Netflix has bagged the streaming rights to Leo for a huge price, which is probably the highest that the streaming giant has paid for a Tamil title.
According to reports, the sale of streaming rights to Netflix has fetched a whopping Rs 125 crore in the movie’s pre-theatrical revenue.
