Nayanthara makes rare public appearance, praises Yash and Geetu Mohandas at Toxic trailer launch
Nayanthara, who generally keeps away from film promotions, made a rare public appearance at the trailer launch of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, the actor discussed her experience working with director Geetu Mohandas and co-star Yash, while also praising Rukmini Vasanth and Kiara Advani.
Nayanthara said promotional events are not something she is particularly comfortable with, but she made an exception for Toxic. She said Yash’s invitation played an important role in bringing her to the event and praised the team’s commitment to the project.
Discussing Yash, she said his larger-than-life screen image is also reflected in his personality away from the camera. She described him as exceptionally dedicated and praised the years he has invested in the film.
According to Nayanthara, Yash has devoted a significant part of his personal and professional life to Toxic, while also paying close attention to the work of the cast and crew. She particularly appreciated the support he extended to director Geetu Mohandas.
The actor also revealed that she was initially hesitant about joining the project because of its large ensemble cast. She said she was initially reluctant when Geetu approached her, but agreed to hear the narration.
The script changed her mind, with Nayanthara saying the director’s vision left a strong impression on her. She expressed confidence that audiences would be surprised by what Mohandas has created.
