Nayanthara joins Rajinikanth’s Dharman, team welcomes here
Nayanthara is the latest addition to Dharman, the upcoming film starring Superstar Rajinikanth, with director Ashwath Marimuthu welcoming the actress to the project.
The production team, Raaj Kamal Films International, sparked speculation about a new cast member through a social media post on Sunday. The message hinted at the arrival of a charismatic new presence, prompting the director to respond with a warm welcome to Nayanthara.
The announcement has generated interest in the film’s growing ensemble, which also includes actors Ram Pothineni and Raashii Khanna.
Production on Dharman has been progressing steadily. In September, Marimuthu announced that the team had completed its third shooting schedule.
Raashii Khanna has also offered glimpses of the film’s behind-the-scenes atmosphere through photographs shared on Instagram from the Mysuru schedule. She described early-morning workouts with Rajinikanth and Ram Pothineni, visits to temples, casual outings and games of UNO among the team’s activities.
She also shared her enthusiasm for Mysuru’s local food, adding a personal touch to her account of life on location.
The film is backed by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran, with S Disney serving as co-producer under Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media. Anirudh is composing the music, Niketh Bommi is handling cinematography, and Pradeep E Raghav is in charge of editing.
Nayanthara’s addition is particularly notable because she has previously shared screen space with Rajinikanth in four Tamil films: Chandramukhi (2005), Kuselan (2008), Darbar (2020) and Annaatthe (2021).
