Chennai witnessed a proud moment for Tamil Nadu sports as the State team clinched the Overall Championship Trophy in the Children’s category and secured the position of Runners-Up in the Cadets category at the National Kickboxing Championship – Children & Cadets 2025, held at Nehru Indoor Stadium.
The championship, which brought together young talents from across the country, highlighted Tamil Nadu’s rising dominance in kickboxing. Under the leadership and encouragement of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, the State has seen a renewed focus on promoting sports and nurturing young athletes.
The closing ceremony was marked by the presence of Thiru J. Meghanatha Reddy, IAS, Member Secretary of SDAT, adding further prestige to the event.
The success was driven by the efforts of the Tamil Nadu State Amateur Kickboxing Association (TNSKA), whose coordinated work with coaches, athletes, and district officials proved vital in delivering this remarkable achievement.
With this victory, Tamil Nadu has reaffirmed its position as one of the frontrunners in nurturing kickboxing talent at the grassroots level and providing a strong platform for children and cadets to excel at the national stage.
