Subarak M’s latest creation, produced by A. Azhaku Pandian under the Harish Cinemas banner, is a refreshing addition to Tamil cinema that skillfully blends spine-chilling horror with a profound social message. Set against the enchanting yet unsettling Nilgiris forest, the film begins with a chilling folklore: “If men dare to enter, they will never return alive.” Into this forbidden world step five individuals and a romantic couple, drawn by the lure of research. What follows is a gripping tale where folklore meets reality, suspense intertwines with empathy, and horror carries a heart.

What makes the film stand apart is its meaningful core. Beyond the thrills, it highlights the struggles of tribal plantation workers, especially their fight to secure education for their children. This socially conscious layer enriches the narrative, turning it into more than a routine scare-fest. Instead, it becomes a story with purpose, delivering both entertainment and awareness.

Debutant Harish a young doctor shines in the lead role —a casting choice that adds authenticity and depth. His earnest performance anchors the film, supported by a strong ensemble including Vince, V.J. Pappu, Patini Kumar, Jeeva Ravi, and Praveena. Each actor contributes sincerely, giving life to characters that feel real.
