Nagaland Governor and former BJP leader L. Ganesan passes away at 80

Nagaland Governor La Ganesan passed away at breathed his last on Friday evening at Apollo hospital in Chennai.

He was 80 years old. Ganeshan sustained serious injuries after reportedly falling down. He was rushed to the hospital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered his condolences on the passing of La Ganesan.

In a post on X, PM Modi called him a devout nationalist and a pillar of the party who helped in the expansion of BJP across Tamil Nadu.

He also remembered Ganesan as someone who was deeply passionate about Tamil culture.

“Pained by the passing of Nagaland Governor Thiru La. Ganesan Ji. He will be remembered as a devout nationalist, who dedicated his life to service and nation-building,” wrote PM Modi on X.

“He worked hard to expand the BJP across Tamil Nadu. He was deeply passionate about Tamil culture too. My thoughts are with his family and admirers. Om Shanti,” he further wrote.
