Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja thanks fans and promises a grand event

Music legend Ilaiyaraaja recently shared an emotional video expressing his deep gratitude to the Tamil Nadu government, fellow artists, and his legions of fans following the grand golden jubilee celebration held in his honor.

The event, which commemorated his 50-year musical journey, was a star-studded affair with the attendance of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, and cinematic giants Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

In the video, the maestro conveyed that he was “speechless with so much joy” at the ceremony. He praised the government and the dignitaries for organizing such a special and heartfelt function.

Ilaiyaraaja also fondly recalled how the late former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi had bestowed upon him the title of “Isaignani,” a designation he carries with unique pride.

Adding to the excitement, Ilaiyaraaja has promised his fans a separate, grand event in the near future. While the government’s celebration was a formal tribute, the music icon wishes to connect directly with his fans and share the joy of this milestone with them.

He also expressed his desire for people to experience his symphony, which was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, live, rather than just through a recorded version. This gesture has generated immense anticipation among music lovers who are eagerly awaiting the promised concert.
