Molteni&C renovates its Flagship Store in Seoul, reinforcing the brand’s presence within the contemporary design landscape of the Asian market.
Molteni&C further strengthens its long -standing partnership with the renowned Korean furniture and design brand NEXUS through the renovation of its Flagship Store in Seoul, located in a prime position in the heart of the prestigious Hakdong -ro district.
Spanning over 1,500 square meters acro ss three floors , d efined by expansive glass façades and interiors inspired by the intimate atmosphere of an Italian private residence, the Flagship Store celebrates the dialogue between architecture, interior design, and the culture of quality living. The space showcases co collections and projects by internationally renowned designers and architects including Vincent Van Duysen, Herzog & de Meuron, Norman Foster, Jean Nouvel, Gio Ponti, Tobia Scarpa, Christophe Delcourt, and Yabu Pushelberg.
Before entering the living area, the space opens onto the Emile modular sofa, paired with the Odile, Léa, and Maylis coffee tables by Christophe Delcourt, alongside the Monk armchairs. Just beyond, a more intimate corner features the Porta Volta chair desi gned by Herzog & de Meuron, with the Mateo round table by Vincent Van Duysen . Behind it, the VVD Kitchen by Vincent Van Duysen reinterprets the iconic finger – recess detail through a refined contemporary language. The Tivalì 2.0 system with Atelier Stripe doors introduces lightness and transparency, creating a harmonious balance between architectural lines, natural materials, and sophisticated detailing.
Continuing through the space, a second living area featuring the Augusto sofa, designed by Vincent Van Duysen, together with the Fonte and Aster coffee tables, establishes a harmonious dialogue with the Elain armchairs, shaping a welcoming and perfectly proportioned conversation area, complemented by the Aria desk and the Monk chair, which create a more intimate corner.
As visitors proceed to the second floor, they are greeted by a composition featuring the Cleo modular sofa and coffee tables by Vincent Van Duysen paired with Gio Ponti’s D.153.1 armchairs. In the adjacent area , the Outdoor Collection showcases the Phoenix seating system by Vincent Van Duysen together with the D.154.2 outdoor armchair by Gio Ponti.
A second kitchen area, introduced by the Adrien sideboard, is defined by Ferruccio Laviani’s Hi -Line 6 kitchen, distinguished by a sophisticated interplay of textures, surfaces, and volumes.
Nearby, the Augusto sofa, Regent coffee tables, and Porta Volta armchairs lead into the dining area featuring the Blevio marble table by Ignazio Gardella. Continuing through the floor, the Arial door and boiserie system, visitors enter the master bedroom featuring the Theo bed by Yabu Pushelberg and the Gliss Master walk -in wardrobe system designed by Vincent Van Duysen. Combined with the Hector and Baltimora systems by Matteo Nunziati, the space defines a serene and highly functional night area.
The third floor opens with the Marteen multifunctional seating and storage system, paired with the Aster coffee table and Gio Ponti’s D.151.4 armchair. Beyond the Sincro door system, visitors discover a new kitchen environment designed by Vincent Van Duyse n, centred around the sculptural Intersection island in natural stone and characterised by a refined balance of materials, luminous surfaces, and integrated details.
Further along, a more intimate living area featuring the Fonte table, Lucio sofa, and coordinated armchairs introduces the Night Collection, including the Azul bed by Nicola Gallizia, Fleur and Léa side tables, and Gio Ponti’s D.154.2 armchair. The journey continues into the Gliss Master wardrobe system with Meridian door and the Baltimora island unit by Matteo Nunziati.
The Prime Kitchen, developed by Molteni&C’s Research & Development department, expresses a soft and contemporary aesthetic enriched by Flair glass cabinets and seamless stone -inspired surfaces.
Guests also encounter a more intimate living area featuring Gio Ponti’s D.157.6 Due Foglie sofa, Porta Volta armchairs, and a composition with the Paul sofa and Louisa coffee tables by Vincent Van Duysen. This setting flows naturally into the Ratio Kitchen , characterised by a sophisticated architectural language defined by marble surfaces, technical columns, and balanced material contrasts.
The final living area is conceived as a harmonious composition centred around the Octave modular sofa, accompanied by the Maylis, Fonte, and Regis coffee tables. Nearby, the Hector bookcase by Vincent Van Duysen introduces the dining area featuring Gio Pon ti’s D.859.1 table and the MHC.3 Miss Chairs by Tobia Scarpa.
The experience concludes with the Rapolano marble version of the Ratio Kitchen and the outdoor collection featuring the Sway sofas by Yabu Pushelberg paired with the Petalo armchair by Vincent Van Duysen.
To conclude the journey, the outdoor collection takes center stage on the third floor, featuring the Sway sofas and coffee table designed by Yabu Pushelberg, paired with the Petalo armchair designed by Vincent Van Duysen.
