Modi inaugurates multiple projects worth Rs 22,000 crores in Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated multiple development projects in Dahod and Panchmahal, Gujarat.
The projects that were inaugurated and laid foundation stones for are worth Rs 22,000 crores. The event was attended by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and other senior leaders as well. After the inauguration, he addressed the people at the event.
During his address, he said that Dahod will become a major center of Make in India as the workshop made in Dahod for steam locomotives during the British era will be used as a factory worth Rs 20,000 crores.
He added that this factory will increase employment opportunities and help in the development of Dahod as Smart City.
He further added that the demand for locomotives is increasing in foreign countries and that India will soon become the one to fulfill those demands.
“The demand for electric locomotives is also increasing in foreign countries. Dahod will play a big role in meeting this demand. India is now one of the few countries in the world that makes 9 thousand horsepower powerful loco,” he said.
