Egg freezing, also called oocyte cryopreservation, involves storing a woman’s unfertilised eggs for future use. Mehreen Pirzada took to social media to share a detailed post about her experience. She wrote, “After two years of contemplating, I’m thrilled that I finally went through with this process. I debated whether to share something so personal. However, I realised many women like me haven’t decided when to marry or start a family. I believe it’s crucial to safeguard yourself for the future. I think all women should consider this to avoid complications later on.”
She further stated, “We don’t talk about this topic much because it’s often seen as taboo. But with technological advancements, we can make better decisions for ourselves, so why not take advantage of it? My dream is to become a mother, and I didn’t want to give up on it just because I was a few years late.”
Mehreen Pirzada’s personal life grabbed headlines when she got engaged to politician Bhavya Bishnoi three years ago. Unfortunately, her wedding plans were put on hold in 2021.
