Mari Selvaraj’s Bison trailer promises a gripping, raw sports drama
The official trailer of Bison (also marketed as Bison: Kaalamaadan) has dropped, and fans are already calling it one of Mari Selvaraj’s boldest works yet.
Set against the backdrop of rural Tamil Nadu, the trailer introduces Dhruv Vikram as the film’s central character — one who is deeply entrenched in the grueling world of kabaddi.
The narrative teases themes of struggle, ambition, identity, and resistance, reinforcing Selvaraj’s reputation for socially rooted storytelling.
The visuals are striking: broken earth, sun-bleached villages, intense bodies in motion, and rugged landscapes that reflect both beauty and hardship.
These aesthetics signal that Bison aims to marry spectacle with substance, delivering emotional weight in every frame.
Beyond Dhruv’s performance, the trailer also hints at a strong ensemble cast including Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Kalaiyarasan, and others.
Technically, Bison boasts a veteran crew: Nivas K. Prasanna handles the music, Ezhil Arasu K is the cinematographer, and editing is overseen by Sakthi Thiru.
