MaiStree Awards 2025 Celebrates Trailblazing Women in Construction at an Exclusive Chennai Ceremony
In a powerful display of recognition, empowerment, and inspiration, MaiStree — India’s pioneering digital platform for the construction ecosystem – successfully hosted the MaiStree Awards 2025, honoring four exceptional women who are reshaping the future of the construction and building trade industries.
Held at the picturesque Fortune Beach Resort, Uthandi, ECR, the invite-only event welcomed dignitaries, industry leaders, and changemakers for an unforgettable evening celebrating leadership, innovation, and impact.
The awards were conferred by Guests of Honor, Mr. S.R. Raja, M.L.A (Tambaram), and Mr. S. Aravind Ramesh, M.L.A (Sholinganallur), lending their presence and support to the cause of women-led transformation in construction.
MaiStree Awardees 2025:
*Guru Award – Dr. Kumudhavalli Sasidhar, a visionary architect and educator, recognized for her three- decade-long contribution to architectural anthropology and teaching.
*Avinya Vidushi Award (Innovative women)– Mrs. Sangeetha Menon, MD of Structural Integrated Panels Pvt Ltd, celebrated for revolutionizing sustainable construction and material innovation.
*Rūpa Nirmatri Award – Ms. Nalini Pabale Chaskar, Director of SB Scaffolding India Pvt Ltd, lauded for her entrepreneurial excellence and leadership in manufacturing.
* VipanaStree Award – Ar. Suganya Kumar, Co-founder of Vikimedia, honored for her pioneering work in architectural branding and AI-powered digital marketing.
The evening also witnessed the launch of the ‘MaiStree Kaapi Book – Women (Re) Defining Spaces’, a compelling compilation that chronicles the stories of women in construction, in the presence of thought leaders and community builders.
“MaiStree is more than an initiative; it“s a movement built on the belief that a woman’s place is everywhere — from construction sites to boardrooms,” said Mrs. M. Kamala Kumari, Founder of MaiStree and seasoned entrepreneur, during her welcome address.
Founded in 2023, MaiStree, supported by Svadhyaya Trust, continues its mission to provide
visibility, networking, and growth opportunities for MSMEs and women professionals in
