Maayon Trailer feast with Maayon Ratham Flag off

An event that encapsulated excitements, emotions, and celebrations together indeed! These were the heart-warming words rendered by the spectators, who were enthralled by the grand ‘Maayon’ ratham (Chariot). The biggest of all the cherry-picks were the specially created trailer of this movie with Special audio description for the visually challenged. The unconditional exhilarations of those innocuous people, who had a vivid experience of the trailer made the occasion more soulful and enthusiastically energetic.

Sibiraj starrer “Maayon”, screen-written, produced, and presented by Arunmozhi Manickam of Double Meaning Production has found the red carpets spread out for the recently launched trailer, which has scaled 1 Million plus views in a shorter span. Apparently, the makers with the earnest desire to amuse the visually challenged individuals from the Agal Foundation by screening the audio described trailer left them awe-stricken.

Furthermore, the college students were enthralled in complete jubilation not just for seeing a fantastic trailer, but also for witnessing the joyous events’ celebrations.

A specially created ‘Maayon Ratham’ which runs across the state of Tamil Nadu for 26 days covering all parts of the state became the cynosure of public glare and media attention. The creators of the film explain that the primary goal behind Maayon Ratham is to deliver a feel-good message of “Love All Hate None”. God, in the purest form, is nothing but a consciousness of equality, sharing, and compassion, which the makers have tried conceptualizing through this Ratham.

The relentless mode of celebrations got enlivened with the arrival of the Leather puppetry (Thol Paavai Koothu) crew, who left the entire league of spectators soaked and speechless. The creators’ efforts to promote the purest art form by exhibiting the unrivaled art form, handed down through the 8th generation, were well received by the public.

The college students had their enchantments getting huge with the fun-filled activities and interactive sessions.

Later, the cast and crew members of ‘Maayon’ interacted with the gathering. Here are some of the excerpts from the occasion.

The event had the presence of the film’s crew and members from the press-media fraternity.

“I had no plans to act in this film at first,” Producer Arun Mozhi Manickam explains. “However, I happened to act due to sudden cancellation of a well known artist at the last moment.”Maayon is the story that has been brewing in my mind for a long time. I feel that everyone will enjoy this film. During the making of my previous production, ‘Psycho,’ I had an inspiration to produce a unique teaser and trailer, apart from audio described film for the Visually challenged. We wanted to produce this trailer with an inmost social concern, as we have a strong conviction in treating everyone equally and providing equal chances for all. I got emotionally gleeful over the excitement of these visually impaired individuals as they enjoyed the new-fangled experience with the trailer. This instilled in me the urge to recreate the same scenario with every movie, Double Meaning Production is going to produce in the near future. I can assure you that Maayon will give a good and first-of-its-kind experience to everyone.”

“I’m only an actor in this film,” exclaimed KS Ravikumar, the director-actor. “This film has a lot of unexpected components.” I was speechless looking at the temple set works within while filming in this cave-like area.. I really admire the art department for this fantastic job. The audience will have a never-before-seen experience with Maayon.

“I was always enthralled by movies like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and The Da Vinci Code, and I wondered if Tamil versions would ever be made” Actor Sibiraj noted.  Finally, all of these aspirations are coming true with Maayon. “We can tell short stories (Kutty Kathai), but we are not allowed to reveal the full story of the film. Maayon will be a delightful surprise for all the viewers.”

“Acting in this film gave me a new experience,” stated actress Tanya Ravichandran. It’s wonderful that my character will be seen throughout the film. We have worked hard to make this movie and have given it our all. I invite everyone to have a good time watching it.

The film’s Art Director Bala said, “In the Tamil film industry, a screenplay like ‘Maayon’ is uncommon. Before creating the sequences for this film, we undertook extensive research across several locations. I believe that our hard work will provide audiences with a fresh and distinctive movie-viewing experience.”

The film is expected to be screened throughout the world in Tamil on June 24, 2022, and then in Telugu shortly after.
