Maanaadu release postponed to 25 November

Simbu’s Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu, has a new release date now. Earlier, the film was slated to hit the theatres on 4 November, clashing with Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe and Vishal-Arya’s Enemy.

However, director Venkat Prabhu and producer Suresh Kamatchi took to social media to announce that the film’s release has been postponed to 25 November.

Back in July, the shooting of Maanaadu was wrapped up. Simbu gave expensive gifts to the cast and crew of Maanaadu. The filming of Maanaadu was delayed multiple times due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

In the statement written by producer Suresh Kamatchi, he said that the distributors and theatre owners might incur huge losses if Maanaadu releases on the same day as Annaatthe and Enemy. Hence, he has decided to postpone the release of the film.
