Lockdown in TN extended till 23 August
Tamilnadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced the extension lockdown in Tamilnadu till 23 August.
In a statement, Stalin said,’To make sure that people don’t crowd in large numbers at the places of worship, the devotees will not be allowed at religious institutions on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.’
The statement also said that the government is considering to re-open schools for classes 9 to 12 from 1 September with 50 per cent capacity.
It also said that classes for all medical and nursing courses will resume from 16 August.
Stalin also warned that strict action will taken against commercial establishemts that violate the Covid 19 guidelines.
