ACTORS’ PROFILE

Karutthadaiyaan plays the role of the father ‘Ganapathy’ in the film. He is a poet and a theatre artist. He was a prominent actor in the post-modernistic theatre troupe from Tamil Nadu “Manal Magudi”. Though he has performed in hundreds of stage plays, ‘Koozhangal’ (Pebbles) is his debut feature film.

Chellapandi plays the role of the son ‘Velu’ in the film. He was selected in the film after auditioning around 80 kids from the nearby villages. Finally he was chosen to play the role as the character mirrors his real life to a large extent. He hails from a nearby village in Madurai, Tamil Nadu where the film was shot and doesn’t have any prior acting experience. ‘Koozhangal’ (Pebbles) is his debut feature film.
