Kavin and Nayanthara’s Hi to arrive on August 14
The makers of Hi, starring Kavin and Nayanthara, have officially announced that the romantic entertainer will release in theatres on August 14, taking advantage of the Independence Day holiday weekend.
The production team also confirmed that the film has received a U/A certificate from the censor board, clearing the way for its theatrical release.
Hi marks the directorial debut of lyricist Vishnu Edavan, who previously worked as an assistant to filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced by 7 Screen Studio, the film is expected to present a youthful romantic story with emotional elements.
The pairing of Kavin and Nayanthara has already generated considerable interest among audiences, while Vishnu Edavan’s transition from lyric writing to filmmaking has further increased expectations.
The film is scheduled to compete at the box office with Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons, which is also set to release on August 14, making the long holiday weekend an important period for Tamil cinema.
